Description |
Chinese ceremonial cabinet made of teak. It has brass hinges and brass drawer pulls. There are intricate carving of the Emperial Dragon and other scrolled Chinese motifs. The dragon can be identified as Emperial because of the five toes and claws. The dragon is a culimination of many animals including a carp (113 scales) and lizard. This is a presentational cabinet and it was acquired on their 1925 World Trip or in 1931 during the 'Chinese Question on Silver' and his month long visit to China. Age of the cabinet has yet to be determined. |
